"It is the supreme art of the teacher to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge." Albert Einstein
The creation of Niralambaya began long before I was aware of it. It started as music; the beautiful music that you are listening to in this moment, Ty Burhoe’s Invocation. I had no idea what the words meant, I simply listened to them over and over. The first ripple in the cosmic pond. Sometime later, I sat in a workshop with Desiree Rumbaugh at a Yoga Journal Conference. Her class was not part of the plan; I made a last minute decision to switch. She sat in the front of the room, poised, powerful, and graceful. She began singing those familiar words and I felt as though I had arrived “home”. My life, my practice changed that day.
I returned home to search for the meaning of those words, the meaning I had already found in my heart.

Independent in existence, the vital essence of illumination
I printed it out and posted it on our manifestation board so that I could read it every day. Niralambaya means “without support”. Grace does not rely on circumstances or situations. The vital essence of illumination is independent in existence! Grace simply is! Who knew?
